I found your site through allrecipes.com and was intrigued because I’m also originally from MA, now living in the MIA (beach, to be specific)…. anyway, random question: I noticed you took a class at J&W, and I’m wondering how your experience was? I’m considering a class at either Miami Dade or J&W. Not sure if I’d go for cake baking–was thinking more cooking 101 because I’m pretty sure that after years of cooking, I’m still not chopping tomatoes the correct way.

Thanks for checking out my blog! What part of Mass were you from? I am from the Metro West area, and I am also living on the beach now.
My class at J&W was pretty awesome. It was really fun and I learned a lot of little tricks. The only downside was that it was very short (3 hours) and kind of rushed. But I would definitely take another class with them. Do they offer cooking classes at Miami Dade? Interesting.
